I Need HTML Help

Wow, writing up a site from scratch can be hard. I’m getting rid of all the files on the ftp server, so I can redo everything and republish. It’s hard, but I don’t think I’m gonna keep that blog up.

By the way, does anyone know how to use relative links to link to a another directory? Actually, I don’t know how to say it, so look below:

Is there anyway I could use a relative link to link from “dummyfile.html” to “stylesheet.css”? Please leave a comment if there is.

HaloScan’s Pretty Cool

I never wanted to add HaloScan scripts to my blog. I did wfind a good use for it, though. I added it to the photo pages on my site. They were easy to add, but I had to manually set up each page. I also tweaked the stylesheet so the comment page’s link would come up on the right side of the photo’s page.

Gmail Invites

I have like three Gmail accounts, which means I have a lot of invites. If you need one, please e-mail me or leave a comment. Send an e-mail to ambia15 [at] yahoo [dot] com! I know that’s not a gmail address, but I have to keep mine as secure as possible.

Site From Scratch

I just finished setting up an album that I designed, partially using a Blogger template (guess which). It was pretty easy, but it was hard at the same time, since I got used to using automated scripts in Blogger. It was fun, though, since I got to practice a lot of stuff, like Roman numerals, CSS, and HTML.

I set up an album page (home.earthlink.net/~shahidambia/albums/), and a page for my ActionSampler photos (home.earthlink.net/~shahidambia/albums/actionsampler_i).

Also, I decided to switch from fireFTP to Filezilla, since fireFTP couldn’t delete files right. (Thanks, Lou!)

What I don’t get is why people I know can’t accept the beauty of Lomography. I think it’s sad.

Found Hosting

I forgot that I had 10MB of space with my Earthlink account. Of course, I really get 80MB, but that’s only because I get 10MB with each of the 8 Earthlink e-mail accounts. I’d say this is a bit better than Geocities, since I get ftp support. I set up a “test” blog. I plan to get it off later. I think having a “free” host will hepl me prepare for when I get paid server space.

It’s located at home.earthlink.net/~shahidambia

Update: I put up the ActionSampler photos at home.earthlink.net/~shahidambia/actionsampler/ Be warned, though, I’m not gonna keep them up too long! They’re just teasers for when I upload them to Flickr.

Update #2: By the way, I’m using fireFTP and it’s pretty not nice!
