Mad Science

My friend Mario and I decided to work on a science project testing the effects of acid rain on plants. When my teacher heard this, she said that we’d have to change our topic, as another group already chose one similar to it. Then, seeing as to how we chose to test plants and the other group chose to use seeds, she let us do it.

What gets me mad is, the other group stole our idea. They had overheard us somehow (they sit near us during most classes) and chose to get their idea approved before we did.

This was done by the goody two-shoes clique. There’s these three girls who always get good grades. They don’t really talk to others. One of them tried to get a friend of mine a 75 on a quiz, but the teacher changed it. They always get away with stuff. They talk during class, and even do their homework during lunch. They go to the library and do their homework while they talk about people in the class and whatnot.

Early to Bed

I’ve gone to school on time today and yesterday. It’s because my Math teacher said I’ve been late a bit too many times. I noticed why I can actually go on time. When I used to be late, I used to hit the snooze button on my alarm clock like 5 times. Now, I hit it just once. Also, I’ve gotten myself to stop falling asleep on the toilet. I think to myself, “You’re not going anywhere doing this, so there’s no use!” It works. I feel different, like I have some more self-confidence, now that I go to school on time.

Feed Me

I’ve started using Bloglines, seeing as to how much better it is than Kinja. I am subsrcibed to a buttload of feeds right now. My feeds are at bloglines.com/public/Shahid. I like the way it’s sorta like checking your email.

I subscribed to some Xanga users’ sites. I found that it was easy to get an RSS feed for a Xanga site. All you have to do is change the word “home” in the URL to “rss” and you’ll have a feed. For example, http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=ambia15 can be changed to http://www.xanga.com/rss.aspx?user=ambia15

Music Talk

Today, I got to work on the new iBook that my school’s after-school department got. I didn’t got to after-school for a while since I had to take penicillin right after school. My school is small, so the department’s head decided to get just one. We use it in the guitar/band/music class. On Wednesdays, we learn how to use computers to make music. My teacher had never used GarageBand, but he let us try it out. There were only three people in the class and one of the kids was working on the teacher’s Windows laptop. It was awesome! I really liked how easy it was to use GarageBand.

I’m taking my iPod into the Genius Bar on Sunday. I need to see whether it’s my PC that’s buggy or my iPod. Luckily, my iPod can still play music. I’m really enjoying the randomness of the music I found on it. I hadn’t played my iTunes library for a while and I had a buttload of free music (downloaded on Tuesdays).

I also wanted to talk about this girl that I sometimes see when I’m going to my Spanish class. She’s like in 10th grade or something. I find it annoying when she sings tries to sing a song. Usually, it’s a song I like (like “Somebody Told Me” by The Killers), which makes it more annoying. She really can’t sing. She sings off-key! I don’t bother saying anything. I don’t want to be mean.

A Biography

I need to think of a person to write a biography on. My first choice was Evan Williams. Then I thought about Jason Kottke. Now, I’m thinking about Che Guevara. I need ideas! This is a time when my readers can actually hep me! Please make suggestions by leaving comments!
