Okay, let me just say that CandyBar is a great piece of software. It makes changing icons easier than it already is. (Without CandyBar, all you have to do is copy and paste the new icon over the original one.) The only problem is, I’m sort of a purist, and I didn’t really like changing my icons. The reason being, that if I changed the system icons, the other icons would still look Aqua-esque. I quickly uninstalled it. All I had to do was drag the app into the Trash, and it was gone.

My parents got cell phones today. My dad upgraded from an old Nokia to a Motorola Razr v3. My mom got a Sony Ericsson Z500a. Both are pretty nice. I’m having a hard time setting them up with Blogger Mobile, though. My dad’s old phone is compatible with Blogger Mobile, but for some reason, the new ones aren’t. I think it has something to do with the MMS settings.
There’s just one thing I don’t like about the phones. It’s the way the UI is. I think that’s what people should focus on now. I mean, there are like so many kinds of phones out right now. Pretty much all of them have crappy GUIs. The old grayscale phones actually have better ones than the color kind.
Oh yeah, I got tickets to see Star Wars Episode III with my mom’s phone. I get to share the phone with her, since she’ll barely use it.
Today, my Social Studies told me that if I want to get a girl, I shouldn’t ask questions. He said I should go up to a girl and say, “By the time I walk away from you, I’ll have your name, your phone number and address.” I told a friend of mine and she said that if a guy said it to her, she’d tell them to get lost. Better be careful.

It’s been a while since I’ve made a videoblog post. I decided to mess with iMovie a bit. Watch out around the clip I show, since the audio is really weird. It was pretty fun in Conecticut.
For some reason, four guys think they can play football outside at 11 o’clock. At first, I thought they were fighting, since they were making really loud noises and cursing a lot. I’m really close to calling 311 and complaining. Of course, that wouldn’t be my kinda thing to do. What’s worse, these guys don’t even seem to be from around my neighborhood, which makes it very wierd. They’re probably insomniacs, drunks, or just plain nutheads.
I like to do some wierd stuff. One of the wierdest weirdest things will probably be entering a contest for girls. Well, actually, the rules don’t mention anything about it being just for girls, but it’s promoting a chick flick. It’s the “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Contest.” You’re supposed to write about a summer that’s affected your life.
I would find it really funny if I win, especially since I’m a guy. If I do win, well, I will start laughing my butt off. I will also start washing my face more often, since one of the prizes is a bunch of Neutrogena stuff. Maybe I’ll give away some stuff.

I really like the way it works. It was really simple to install, since all I had to do was drag its icon out of the disk image it came in.
I really like the funny quacking noises it makes to alert me of different things, like someone logging on or off, and new messages.
The only problems I have with it are that it doesn’t support IRC (yet?) and it logs off whenever my Mac goes to sleep. Other than those, it’s very awesome. I like it more than another IM client I tried out.
I really need to get to work on some other reviews, so expect them soon. Also, check out the sidebar for links to reviews.
I’m officially 14 (and have been for more than a day) and I haven’t noticed any differences, other than my PowerBook and a new CD. I celebrated at my cousin’s house in Connecticut. Still haven’t found time to upload some of them to Flickr. I got a remastered and/or remixed version of Yellow Submarine by the Beatles from my cousin.
I even went to a little Bengali fair-kinda thing. My mom set up a stall there. She sold a good amount of stuff. I shot a crappy 30-second video that I’ll publish after I get a vlog post set up. Speaking of vlogs, freevlog 2.0 is up and running. There was a show and both one of my cousins and my aunt performed there.
I payed a visit to the Apple Store near my cousin’s house and I picked up a sleeve for my PowerBook. I got kinda mad because of the way cases are labeled at the Apple Store and because I found out I could’ve gotten a case when I got my PowerBook. You see, the price tag on the case I chose says Incase Grey Sleeve for 15 PB but the “real” tag, which I saw today, says iBook 12″ + 14″ / PowerBook 12″ + 15. I got mad since I had missed out on taking my PowerBook to Maryland because I hadn’t bought a case. Oh, and I still need to get iWork. I’ll either go to the Apple Store in SoHo, the one in Roosevelt Field Mall, or the online store.
I’m gonna go to Connecticut tomorrow. I will see how ecto works out, since I will be at my cousin’s house and they use dial-up. (In case you don’t know, ecto is a nice app that lets you blog offline.) I will take photos.
There have been so many things going on that those reviews I promised are gonna have to wait. Don’t worry, I’ll write them soon. Maybe on the ride to CT.
So, anyways, there haven’t been any problems with my PowerBook other than that night when it didn’t accept any CDs I tried to burn. I just rebooted (latering learning there are easier ways) and all was okay.
Well, I love it so much, it’s led me to hate it. I can no longer get my homework done before dinner, and I still have loads more blogs to catch up on. I tried out GarageBand with my guitar today, and it was pretty nice. Espeically since I could make it seem like I have a super-distorted amp or even a mellow guitar from the 60s. I know you guys wanna know how my PowerBook’s been, but that’ll have to wait till the weekend. You see, I’m an extremely busy man nowadays, what with tests coming up and such.
