I was upgrading my wireless router’s firmware last night, so I had to connect my PowerBook to the router with an ethernet cable. My good ones were connected to my cable modem and my old PC, so I decided to use the one that came supplied with my cable modem and guess what? This morning, I tried to take it out and it’s stuck inside my PowerBook! Thanks to Google, I found a forum thread about similar experiences, but I can’t find anything that’ll fit above the cable.
Update: Fortunately, this piece of a binder clip saved me.
Also took care of the ethernet cable.
Heh heh, I am laughing at your solution not the problem. Your one cent clip beats all tools – maybe you should patent it.
I was tired the other day and when I leaned over to turn off the power bar I slipped and bumped my computer desk. The next day I had to unhook and reinsert all my cables from my modem through my router to my comp. The comp link had been jarred out of sync but was still attached.
Bah, technology.:)
What’s with the design change?
