Dilatory Dillan

I had to write a short story for NaNoWriMo at school. Yet again, I failed to finish the real NaNoWriMo. I even included some references to my life. Oh yeah, Lou’s mentioned in it, too.

New Stuff

Preview of New Stuff

I decided to make a vlog post about my new stuff. Yes, it’s been a while since I’ve videoblogged. I think this is the first time I’ve videoblogged on WordPress. I might be wrong.

Before you guys comment about the things I said, yes, I know that you can’t really see the flash going off. My bad. I also know that you can’t read that it says “Made in Japan” on the box. I apologize in advance for the huge file size. I was too busy to make it smaller.

Black Friday 2005

Ben Sherman WalletGiant MonstersPocky

Today, I decided to go shopping with my mom and my aunt. I did this because I wanted to take photos with my LC-A. I also wanted to get a wallet from Urban Outfitters.

I got a Ben Sherman wallet, as depicted above. I wanted to get some Napoleon Dynamite stuff and I also wanted to get a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but didn’t feel like asking my mom for stuff.

When my uncle came, my mom and I started walking around the mall while my uncle and my aunt were busy shopping for something. I decided to go into EB Games, which was jam packed with shoppers. Then, I saw a store called Suncoast. I decided to go in and look around. I got some Pocky and a cheesy Monster DVD. I also noticed that some dude was making out with his girlfriend right behind the Anime/Manga place, which is where I got the Pocky.

The mall that I went to, Queens Center, seems pretty weird nowadays. It used to be just one building but they “added” on another one. The whole place seems like a movie where people live in some weird utopian place but there’s some freaky stuff going on that people don’t know about.

Happy Turkey Day!

Today’s one of the best days of all. It’s Thanksgiving Day and I don’t think I’m going anywhere, unlike last year when I went to my cousin’s cousin’s house. I think we’ll be going to the hospital to visit Sudman’s mom and take some food for her. I really hope she gets well soon.

My Lomo Has Arrived!

Say Cheese!

Today, I came home early from after-school just so I wouldn’t miss my Lomo when it came. Well, I had to wait till 7:30 to get it.

Let me just tell you this, it is one of the most awesome things I’ve ever gotten! I can’t wait to take it out tomorrow along with maybe my TunnelVision lens, which I have yet to “install.”

It’s Coming!

My LC-A is set to arrive at my house tomorrow. Just wish I can be at home when it arrives. I have to go to after-school because I need to save up hours for that stipend I’m gonna get at the end of the year. Maybe I’ll come home right after the meeting instead of staying for more classes. I sorta know the time when the UPS truck comes around my place. Anytime around 4:30 to 6:00 PM.

Magical Happenings

Today, I went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was a very long movie. Just as before, there are some things that they left out. The Dursleys were nowhere to be seen. I’m guessing it was a time thing. Overall, it was a great movie, though. I found it funny when Harry started stuttering as he was trying to ask Cho Chang out. Even though it was 2 and a half hours long, it felt as if it finished really quickly.

I want to see the movie again, though. I hadn’t bought any snacks, so I left during the second tournament. All you Harry Potter fans out there should know what I mean.

Also, I got one of my Nintendo games. I got the 3-in-1, which is pretty awesome. I haven’t tried out World Class Track Meet because I was in too much of a hurry to take out my Power Pad. Luckily, I had set up my NES beforehand because I was sure I’d get at least one this week. One thing I found out is that I need to get my NES’ connector replaced if I don’t want the games to start blinking after a while.

Those Lomo people are getting me PO’d as of right now. It seems that my LC-A still hasn’t shipped.

The Weird IMs Strike Back

Yet again, I’ve recieved weird IMs. For some reason, I don’t know who this “yourhotmamaxx3″ is, but it seems familiar.

AIM IM with yourhotmamaxx3.
yourhotmamaxx3: HI..!
yourhotmamaxx3: hi
yourhotmamaxx3: do u remember me??
yourhotmamaxx3: Shahid.. are you there it seems as if you don’t remember me
yourhotmamaxx3: are you there?? ok .. fine if you don’t remember me then it ok.. i changed my screenname and also c you at school
yourhotmamaxx3: bye
yourhotmamaxx3: mizz and kizz you.. this is your secert crush
yourhotmamaxx3: bye

Pretty weird, if you ask me. Of course, it could just be a friend trying to mess with me. I’m gonna have to look into it later. Maybe at school.

Relatively Unrelated Things

I’ve found out a few things in the past few days. As the title suggests, they are relatively unrelated.

  • My LC-A should ship by Monday, if not, I won’t even bother complain since I want the camera too badly. I’ve been wanting to get a “lomography” camera since more than a year ago.
  • I found my Game Boy Color.
  • I am hooked on playing Donkey Kong Land on my Game Boy Color. The color looks horrible on the Game Boy Advance.
  • You should never blow into your game paks. This might be what you were taught to do to your non-working games as a kid, but this just makes it worse since the metal connectors get corroded from the water vapor in your breath. Just take a cotton swab and swipe it a few times along the connectors in the game pak.

Well, I guess some of those were related to each other. It’s just that I rarely plan out my posts.

Cousin’s Sweet Sixteen!

My cousin’s Sweet Sixteen was on Saturday. We came home from Connecticut at around 8pm today. Was quite awesome at the party. I’m tired from all the dancing and helping out. I took loads of photos and would’ve taken even more if I had known my battery was about to finish. (Canon: This is a hint that many people would like to see a battery status icon on your cameras!) I’ll upload them to Flickr later. Too sleepy right now. I just finished the homework I had left because of procrastination.
