Recently, I had the pleasure of splurging on a Nintendo DS Lite with my birthday money. Let me say, it is one hell of a system. Just like Glen, this is my first system I’ve had in a long time. My last system was the original Game Boy Advance, which is so old now it’s missing its battery cover.
The DS Lite looks very nice. I didn’t like the look of the original DS so I didn’t want to get it last year. I’m into the sleek, minimalistic look, thanks to Apple, and the DS Lite has it going on. I’m not ashamed to carry it around in front of people with PSPs.
I didn’t feel like waiting for the other colors to come in the US, so I went ahead and bought the white one the day it came out. EB Games decided to get only enough DS Lites for people who reserved it. Best Buy was nice and had a lot in stock. All I had to do was go to the cashier and they’d get me one.
Originally, I had planned to get both New Super Mario Bros. and Brain Age. When I was at Best Buy, I decided to get just New Super Mario Bros. because my mom would be paying for it seeing as to how I had barely enough money for just the system.
New Super Mario Bros. is a really addictive game. It’s amazing how easy the bosses are yet how hard the levels are. I can’t wait till I meet up with others with DS’s. Pretty sure that’ll be fun.

Oh no! You could have gotten Brain Age for free. There was a coupon on the Best Buy website and in-store that let you get Brain Age for free with the DS Lite through the 18th.
Oh man. I missed that. I can’t find the coupon anywhere.
I’ve played Brain Age and Mario Kart against Jake over wifi and it’s great. Definitely more fun than player with your self. At least in the sense that’s meant to be taken.
Hey man, I got mine today. I also splurged and bought New Super Mario Bros, Brain Age, and Mario Kart DS. Love them all. One problem, there’s a damn dead pixel!
Does it have DS download?
That sucks. Can’t you get it replaced?
Yeah, it does have DS download. Can’t wait to use it. What games do you have now?
I think Nintendo replaces it for free, but Best Buy might take it back. They took back my first faulty PSP.
That’s good then.
I really fail to see any greatness in this new gameboy. The PSP blows the mini system out of the water but to each it’s own.
