I went to the library and met up with some friends of mine. I decided to take out some CDs and do what I always do, “Borrow, Rip, Return.” You can save loads of money doing that and you don’t get songs that somebody didn’t encode right.
Here’s what I got:
- “If You’re Feeling Sinister” – Belle & Sebastian
- “Keep It Like A Secret” – Built to Spill
- “The Greatest” – Cat Power
- “Transatlanticism” – Death Cab for Cutie
- “Rejoicing in the Hands” – Devendra Banhart
- “Antics” – Interpol
- “We Shall Be Healed” – The Mountain Goats
- “Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain” – Pavement
- “Dark Side of the Moon” – Pink Floyd
- “Chutes Too Narrow” – The Shins
The only problem with getting a lot of CDs together is that I don’t get a chance to enjoy every single song over a long period of time. But it’s fun getting music!
Chute Too Narrow by The Shins is a pretty fantastic album. Well wrth a second listen…

Don’t let it turn in to an addiction, stealing music, I mean.
I always borrow cds from my library, I have 3663 songs on my iPod and all of them (except for one which I happened to download) are from cds.
The thing is, I buy CDs because I remember seeing someone huge CD collection as a kid and wanting one ever since.
Mountain Goats = ace.
