Back when I was a ninth grader, I saved up enough money to get myself a Lomo LC-A and a few other things that came bundled with it. I took photos with the camera like crazy. My only problem was that I had a hard time saving money to develop my photos. In fact, I still have a handful of undeveloped rolls from years ago lying around.
After a while, I noticed that the camera was acting up. The front casing was loose and my attempts at fixing the problem weren’t that great. I decided to use masking tape to keep the camera from falling apart and colored it black.
Well, I finally got it repaired. I took it to a guy who goes by the name, Lomodoctor Fa. When I took my LC-A over to his place, he sat down with my friend and me at a small desk. It had a bunch of tools and such.
It took Fa very little time to figure out how to fix my LC-A. While he did work on the camera, he gave me some tips on taking care of it. He even switched up my bad screws and put some tape on the camera to protect it. Pretty cool guy.
I plan using my LC-A a lot more often now. If only I could get some film to use in it. I prefer Fuji Superia but they don’t have it at the Rite Aid or CVS near me. Both B&H and Adorama are closed till Friday. What do I do!?

Hi Shahid,
I’m about to receive a lomo lc-a with a lens guard switch issue causing the shutter to jam sometimes. I want to try cleaning it first but if it doesn’t change anything, I would live to take it to Lomodoctor Fa. Is there an email address where he can be reached? Or phone number? Thanks!
If you’re located in NYC, I can give you Fa’s info. He’s great, even if you’re just emailing for advice.
Hello again!
My LC-A isn’t there yet though. It’s coming from Poland so I guess I have to be patient but as soon as I have it, I’d like to contact Fa. You can email me his info at the following address: keeklo@yahoo.com
I’m in NYC!
Thank you.
