Scott Pilgrim’s Midnight Release

Scott Pilgrim 6!

So I went to the midnight release of Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour at Midtown Comics with Martin today. It was pretty fun.

We got there when they were shutting down the store. We walked around for a while and went back to the store at 10. We were the 6th and 7th in line. Three people in front of us were dressed as Scott, Stephen Stills, and Wallace. The guy dressed as Wallace was carrying a martini glass full of water.

Strangers kept asking us what we were lined up for. It got boring explaining that it was for Scott Pilgrim so I yelled, “Twilight!,” at one guy and he just walked off saying, “Oh.”

When they opened the doors, we went up and grabbed the books as soon as we could. Martin almost tripped going up the stairs, actually.
We left soon after and decided not to read the book till we got home. That way, I could finish my second run through volume 5 and we could both read without any distractions.

O’Malley ended the series so well. I’ll post a review later. Too excited about having finished it too write anything.

UPDATE! Martin reminded me that we ran into a girl dressed as Ramona a couple of times around the city. She eventually turned up to get on the line. The girl was carrying a bat!

Nice Comment

I was going through my comments and decided to take a look at my spam. This one was too good to pass up. I ended up approving it and just getting rid of the spammer’s address.

LOL is that what you young people would say in this cases? Hello there, i’m a 84 years old grandfather and I’ve just found this website in my browser history. My nephew used my laptop the last time he went here, I believe… he says LOL pretty often but I’ve started to undertand what it means only recently but he’s a good boy after all. Keep doing your best guys, Internet is a real blessing and you have no idea how lucky you are. Best wishes by a old man commenting for the first time

Great, no?

Things

I remember a time when I’d write blog posts several times a day. Not sure what happened over the years.

During my junior year of high school, I got a little busy and let the blog sit around. If I remember correctly, I might’ve also been trying to figure out how much of my life I make public.

Twitter’s played a big part in my lack of interest in blogging here at Cafenut. I’ll have been @shahid for 4 years next week. Twitter made it easier for me to get my point across quick. I’ve seen Twitter evolve over the years. I joined way back when it was just twttr. According to this article on TechCrunch, I joined on day two. Didn’t know that. I like the comments on that article. Who would’ve thought it would get so huge? Not me.

Well, things have changed since the time I would blog regularly. Not sure what I plan on doing with Cafenut. I guess I’ll just write when I feel like it.

WordPress 3.0 looks shiny but familiar. I need a refresher.
