So I’ve been into graphic novels and comics for a couple of years now. A good comic with nice artwork goes a long way. I decided to order two books out of a random urge to buy something nice for myself. One was Craig Thompson’s Habibi and the other was Jeffrey Brown’s Unlikely.
I’ve read works by both Thompson and Brown before. I enjoyed Blankets by Craig Thompson. Unlikely is part of Jeffrey Brown’s “Girlfriend Trilogy,” of which I’ve also read Clumsy.
Both books seem promising. I’m not sure I’ll be able to read Habibi in one go but I’ll definitely have to make time for it. The artwork is just gorgeous.
