I was going through my comments and decided to take a look at my spam. This one was too good to pass up. I ended up approving it and just getting rid of the spammer’s address.
LOL is that what you young people would say in this cases? Hello there, i’m a 84 years old grandfather and I’ve just found this website in my browser history. My nephew used my laptop the last time he went here, I believe… he says LOL pretty often but I’ve started to undertand what it means only recently but he’s a good boy after all. Keep doing your best guys, Internet is a real blessing and you have no idea how lucky you are. Best wishes by a old man commenting for the first time
Great, no?
I remember a time when I’d write blog posts several times a day. Not sure what happened over the years.
During my junior year of high school, I got a little busy and let the blog sit around. If I remember correctly, I might’ve also been trying to figure out how much of my life I make public.
Twitter’s played a big part in my lack of interest in blogging here at Cafenut. I’ll have been @shahid for 4 years next week. Twitter made it easier for me to get my point across quick. I’ve seen Twitter evolve over the years. I joined way back when it was just twttr. According to this article on TechCrunch, I joined on day two. Didn’t know that. I like the comments on that article. Who would’ve thought it would get so huge? Not me.
Well, things have changed since the time I would blog regularly. Not sure what I plan on doing with Cafenut. I guess I’ll just write when I feel like it.
WordPress 3.0 looks shiny but familiar. I need a refresher.
Quite honestly, I don’t remember when I stopped blogging. Well, stopped writing for Cafenut. I think at some point, I began to post things over at cafenut.tumblr.com instead of this site. Possibly because I had a feeling I wouldn’t be able to afford a renewal at the time. Last night, I decided to pull things together and resurrect the website.
After paying a few fees and working out some issues with Dreamhost, I was able to get the site up and running. I was afraid I might’ve given up on Cafenut and deleted the entire site. Fortunately, I had three backups saved on my laptop.
I was a little reluctant to keep up my old posts because I might’ve had things that would embarrass me now. But honestly, I could care less. Those old posts help me see what’s changed about myself and what’s still the same.
I’m not sure how frequently I’ll be writing here because I’m usually tweeting these days. Twitter has changed the way I blog. I think my early posts from Blogger (circa 2004-2005) are similar to what I’m usually posting on Twitter now. I’m still considering whether or not I should make my Twitter feed public again.
Anyway, this blog needs an overhaul. I think I’ll be working on improving my writing. I don’t have the time to focus on the layout of the site or anything. We’ll see where things go.
It feels nice to be blogging again, or at least attempting to begin again. I was looking through my old posts and I realized how much I’ve changed. It’s nice to look at the things I wrote back then. It let’s me understand myself a bit better.
Wow, I haven’t written in a long time. Just so you guys know, I’m still alive. These past few months have been extremely busy for me. Summer vacation’s coming up but I have tests to study for. Also, I’m heading towards Bangladesh over the vacation so I have no guarantee as to how often I’ll post.
So much has happened to me since my last post. I wish I could begin to describe it all but I can’t. Two reasons: there’s just so much and a lot of it is personal. But, anyways, I need all the luck I can get at this moment. Wish me luck!
For the past 4 years or so, much of my time has been spent online. I may not always be using the computer, I might be just listening to music or something. However, for some reason, it’s become a habit for me to turn on my computer as soon as I can. I’ll admit, I spend a little too much time on the computer sometimes.
Something I’ve noticed is that many of my friends also use the computer regularly. This lets me talk to them online, whether it be through email or instant messaging. Much of my free time is spent chatting with friends and reading blogs and such.
It’s been so long that I can’t remember what people who are barely ever online do in their spare time. Are you one of those people? Tell me what you do.
After almost half a year, I’ve decided to start blogging again. Boy have the times changed. So much has happened to me over the past few months. Just so I don’t stop blogging again, I won’t try and write about the void.
See, the reason I stopped blogging in the first place was that I’d put off writing and try to finish posts. Didn’t work well for me.
I’d wanted to try a new design or something, but I have not time for that right now. That’s also another reason I got fed up with blogging, no time to redesign. Of course, back when I used to blog nonstop, I didn’t give a shit about the design as long as I could read what I published.
So that’s all for now.
Since school has started and I haven’t been able to post anything since I came home from Canada last week. It was a lot of fun hanging out with my cousins. I saw a couple of movies and stayed up really late. Even went to an arcade and drove a go kart there.
What’s brought me here to write a post? I found a meme, courtesy of Biz Stone, and was bored enough to follow up on it. Basically, what you do is go in the URL field in your browser and see what auto-completes for each letter of the alphabet. Here’s what I came up with:
I haven’t blogged in a while. Why? I’ve been really busy and I’m almost always too tired to write. That’s why I’ve decided to post a list of things I want to say.
- I got two tickets to the Decemberists’ show in November.
- Recently, I got a lot of money because of the amount of hours I put into the after school program.
- The NYC subway system is an amazing thing. You get to see so many different kinds of people everytime you ride a train.
- It’s been super hot in New York these past few days.
- I helped design a blog for YoYoNation, where they sell quality yoyos.
- Jamba Juice is a life saver during the summer time.
- I just realized that I can look for a photo lab near work and drop my film off during lunch.
That’s it for now.
