Scott Pilgrim’s Midnight Release

Scott Pilgrim 6!

So I went to the midnight release of Scott Pilgrim’s Finest Hour at Midtown Comics with Martin today. It was pretty fun.

We got there when they were shutting down the store. We walked around for a while and went back to the store at 10. We were the 6th and 7th in line. Three people in front of us were dressed as Scott, Stephen Stills, and Wallace. The guy dressed as Wallace was carrying a martini glass full of water.

Strangers kept asking us what we were lined up for. It got boring explaining that it was for Scott Pilgrim so I yelled, “Twilight!,” at one guy and he just walked off saying, “Oh.”

When they opened the doors, we went up and grabbed the books as soon as we could. Martin almost tripped going up the stairs, actually.
We left soon after and decided not to read the book till we got home. That way, I could finish my second run through volume 5 and we could both read without any distractions.

O’Malley ended the series so well. I’ll post a review later. Too excited about having finished it too write anything.

UPDATE! Martin reminded me that we ran into a girl dressed as Ramona a couple of times around the city. She eventually turned up to get on the line. The girl was carrying a bat!

I’m back!

I’m still working out the kinks. Bear with me please!

Videoblogging Week 2006 – Day Six

Watch the video
I decided to check out Snapz Pro X and vlog with it. Pretty neat app, if you ask me. My voiceover just sucks, though. I wish I didn’t feel like acting during it. I really wish I could’ve gone to the Mates of State show. Really sucks that almost all the other shows are All Ages. Reminds me of that Decemberists concert from way back in October or something.

WordPress 2.0

WordPress 2.0 has been out for quite a while now. I updated as soon as I heard. Everything went very smoothly and I think I did it better than Lou. ;) Well, there seem to be a bunch of nice features here. One of them being the Import button. I don’t need that anymore since I used the same thing a while back when I switched over from Blogger.

Never Seen A Ten Before

That seems nice. I can upload an image and drag it right in. Cool.

This is me trying to be excited in a video. If anyone can, please try viewing this on a video iPod as I want to know if the settings I use will work.

Testing Flock

This is interesting. Flock is a bit slow at times, but it’s nice. I’m testing out Flock’s blogging feature. Seems fine so far. It’s like BlogThis! and Press It. But it’s integrated into the browser. Quite interesting, indeed.

And just for fun, I’m gonna try dragging an image in:

NaNoWriMo 2005!

Guess what’s coming soon? NaNoWriMo 2005! I’m looking forward to it this year. I really hope I can finish a novel this time around.

I was absent from school yesterday, and I looked at my English homework online. Guess what? My English assigned a paragraph describing the main character from a novel we will be writing. I think it has something to do with me mentioning NaNoWriMo to my teacher after class. Hope she doesn’t assign us like huge amounts of novel-related homework before NaNoWriMo starts!
